ADMISSIONs GUIDELINES

What you need in order to become a Tesla University student

Tesla University operates on a rolling admission policy, there is no admission application deadline. Plan ahead and apply early. 


Tesla University has two semesters - January and September. 


Faculty of Engineering - Electrical and Green Engineering Program - B.Sc 4 year program 

Faculty of Environmental Science - Master's 2 year program

Faculty of Energy Future - PhD 3 year program 

School of Continuing Education and Professional Development  

Pre-University Courses for future students


Master, PhD, Continuing Education and Professional Development courses are delivered in English, Spanish, Dutch and Papiamento in Aruba and in English and French in Canada. 


Language

Tesla University is proud to have faculty and staff communicating in Papiamento, Dutch, Spanish, English, French, Russian, Ukrainian, German just to name a few and while all other programs are delivered in different languages,

Tesla University Faculty of Engineering delivers its curriculum in English only. 


All non native English speaking students applying for the Faculty of Engineering must submit successful TOEFL [paper 500, computer 173] or IELTS [overall 6.0, min. 5.5 on all bands]) scores.

Required courses: Senior English, Physics, Math and Chemistry (one additional credit from

Biology, Functions or Calculus)

Requirements: minimum requirements; for entry into 2nd year, PLAR (prior

listening assessment and recognition) for equivalencies/credits equal to TESLA University

Offers: Continuing education and professional development courses in power generation, distribution, storage, environmental science and energy development and business 


Application Process Bachelors of Engineering


1. Submit Full Application, Application Fee US$250 with personal essay, official school transcript (80% overall average), two academic letters of recommendation, three passport-sized colour photographs, and test scores recommended: ACT, SAT, GRE, GMAT or equivalent; all students will submit successful TOEFL [paper 500, computer 173] or IELTS [overall 6.0, min. 5.5 on all bands]) scores.


2. An online or Phone Interview will be scheduled upon receipt of all required documents.


3. The Admission Committee’s decision will be communicated within 2 to 4 weeks from the day of receipt of the completed application, application documents and application fee.


4. Upon acceptance, a $1,950 non-refundable deposit for enrollment and administrative fees is required. Tuition payment for one full year, two semesters, is due 30 days prior to

commencement of the program / semester. For international students who are not successful in obtaining a student visa to Aruba and/or Canada, tuition payment is fully refundable.

Engineering Degree - Electrical & Green Power: Four (4) years; Bachelor of Science

Aruba $8,367 (Yr 1) + $8,989 (Yr 2) + $10,248 (Yr 3 & 4) - 40% = $27,037.15

International $27,943 (Yr 1) + $29,394 (Yr 2) + $33,544 (Yr 3 & 4) = $124,425

(15 scholarships available - 10 Aruba students and 5 International students) 


Master's Program: Two (2) years ;  $32,780 per year 

(15 spots available - 8 scholarships)


PhD Program: Two (2) years; $37,540 per year 

(10 spots available - 5 scholarships)



Ancillary fees  $900

Administrative and Ancillary fees include: Health Services and Insurance, Transit, Athletics, Student union, Library and ID card.


Administrative and Ancillary fees do not include Aruba Immigration and students accommodation costs.

Tesla University Scholarships & Fellowships

29 full-year scholarships are available for students through programs each year. A separate Scholarship Application required in order to be approved. Please see the documents below.
